Most sets I learned from Pat Murphy. Pat ist the world's most famous Setdance teacher and author of the well known Setdance books, like "Toss The Feathers" and "The Flowing Tide".
Once a year many Setdance fans travel to Drumshanbo or Tubbercurry in Ireland to learn from Pat Murphy. So do I: every year I take part in these summer- schools, in order to pass on what I learned there to my "students".
Beside Pat Murphy,I have learned a lot from other Setdance teachers, whom I'd like to mention here:
Aidan Vaughan, who especially teaches Clare Battering Steps at the Willy Clancy Week in Miltown Malbay.
Patrick O'Dea, who often teaches at workshops in Germany.
Mick Mulkerrin und Mairéad Casey, Seamus O'Méaloid und Celine Tubridy, whose workshops I regularly attend in Malahide.
Jim Barry, whose workshop I attended in Co. Mayo and Jim Monaghan, who comes to Heidelberg periodically.
Peter Hanrahan, one of the youngest teachers, whose Clare Battering workshop I enjoyed a short time ago in Longford.
